 Este es el comentario que hizo Rumiko Takahashi en su cuenta de Twitter respecto a Ran de Urusei Yatsura:

Es un personaje sorprendente porque me dio más de lo que esperaba. Lum se mete sin malicia en bastantes aprietos y Ran siempre se ve involucrada. Parece ser del tipo A y le tiene rencor a Lum a todo el tiempo. Pero creo que Ran es una buena chica.

Nota: Lo de "tipo A" refiere a la creencia seudocientífica, que goza de cierta popularidad en Japón, de que el tipo sanguíneo influye en la clase de personalidad que posee un individuo.
